When Life Explodes Into "New" — And You're Not Ready
Share
There are moments on the spiritual path where everything changes at once. Not gradually. Not gently. All at once.
New opportunities. New environments. New people. And at the exact same time—grief, exhaustion, loneliness.
This is the part no one really prepares you for.
The Breakthrough: Choosing Yourself
After decades of neglecting myself, I finally did something different. I fixed my smile and repair my chipped teeth. Not because I had to—but because I was finally ready to stop abandoning myself.
That one act represents something much deeper: choosing self-worth, releasing old identity ("I'm not worth it"), and rewriting how I treat myself.
Healing isn't always spiritual and abstract. Sometimes it's very physical. Very real.
The Leap of Faith That Changed Everything
Over the past year, I was moved—again and again—without a clear plan. Three moves. No certainty. No roadmap. Just intuition.
And eventually, it led me somewhere I never could have planned: a new home, a new environment, new aligned connections, and the beginning of in-person healing work again.
This is how alignment actually works. You don't get the full picture. You get the next step.
The Reality of Awakening: It's Both
Right as things started expanding… I crashed emotionally. Not because something was wrong—but because something was clearing.
The higher you rise, the deeper you release.
You don't just receive light. You expose shadow. You don't just feel joy. You process grief. Both exist at the same time.
Why You Can't Skip the "Wallowing"
There's a common belief: don't stay in it too long, don't wallow, just move on. But repression isn't healing. If you only allow a small amount of emotion out… you only release a small amount.
Real healing requires sitting in the discomfort, letting emotions fully move through, and dropping judgment of your own experience. That's how energy clears.
Duality Is the Path — Not the Problem
Spiritual awakening isn't about becoming "only light." It's about holding paradox: joy and grief, expansion and fear, freedom and loneliness, pride and vulnerability — all at the same time.
The mind wants one or the other. But truth is always both.
Integration Is the Real Work
External change is fast. Internal integration is slow. You can go from debt to stability, from chaos to safety, from isolation to opportunity—but your nervous system still has to catch up.
Learning to feel safe… after a lifetime of not feeling safe… takes time.
The Bigger Perspective
This path is not linear. It's not a steady climb upward. It's waves: up and down, light and shadow, death and rebirth — over and over again. But each cycle refines you. Each wave builds capacity.
Final Thought
If you're in a phase where everything is changing, you feel overwhelmed, and you're experiencing highs and lows — nothing has gone wrong. You're expanding. And expansion requires release.
